Anyone had this installed? See below...

15mm drop on this, which is conservative, but a nice compromise. Competition is set up -7mm F/-10mm R compared to stock, so I guess would go -12/-15 on this one. |

Base model.
Decided against the competition when I realized I would be swapping out the suspension, exhaust, wheels, and black trim. If I was gonna leave the car stock I would've gone competition. |

On the std car, the spring rates are a little different, and ride height adjustable from -0mm to -25mm. Comp already has different kinematics, shortened springs (-7mm) with +10% stiffness, shorter aux dampeners (bump stops) and requires different spring rates than what's offered with this specific kit. Although one could technically install this as is on a comp, it's not a good solution. During severe load reversal situations, the spring rates are inappropriate and it bottoms out on the bump stops. |

Was interested in a BMW solution. I've installed springs on previous cars and a mismatched spring and damper is not fun. |

This is based on my experience with KW HAS so take it for what it's worth. On the flip side, you can adjust endlessly until you find the setup that works best for you.

My dealer checked today, one available in the US. Retails at $1,860, plus BMW itemizes about $300 in extra mounting hardware. My guess is that BMW wants to replace every nut and bolt that has a wrench put on it! I doubt it would be that bad, but still pricey compared to KW HAS. I wish someone would be the first to take the jump, KW is a known quantity and usually good.
