How many more years does the F90 have until it’s totally reworked? Not meaning the LCI refresh, but a whole new car.

If I lease one now, for 36 months, will there be one more model year left to grab a new one afterwards? I don’t want to come up on the first year of the next version - I never buy the first model year of any car.

6-7 years normally on 5 series cycles.....

E39 went from 1997-2003 (7 model years)
E60 was 2004-201 (7 model years)
However, the F10 only went from 2011-2016....so 6 model years.

G30 came out for 2017 model year....meaning 2022 or 2023 would normally be the last model year based on the previous 3 generations.

M5 normally comes out the second year of the cycle (2018 in this case). They then produce that until the last year of the old model....so 2022 or 2023, as well.

That being said, I find it hard to believe BMW would only do 2 years of the LCI on the G30 (since the LCI won't start until the 2021 models). Thus, I'd think they would run the G30/F90 to include the 2023 model year.

Thus, maybe a new 5 series for the 2024 model year meaning a new M5 for the 2025 model year (meaning it would likely come out in late 2024)?
