Tough question, since we dont have all the details yet on the new M5, it could be a no brainer for the new M5, or could also be a "welp see ya later BMW, better luck next time"
Ill have to reserve this question for when full details of it are avail :-) Right now nothing other than some exotics or semi-exotics get the juices flowing. I will say, I kind of have liked the AMG GT 63S, but still chose M5 Comp over it. |

Nothing until these crazy ass car prices change. Then probably the supposed upcoming V-8/hybrid M5 model.

I placed an order in November for an Audi R8, but still don't have an allocation assigned. I'm hoping to get a 2023 model before they are gone forever. I might not get lucky enough to get one, however. Supplies are very limited.
I might place an order for an M8 as a backup option. Or wait to see what the next M5 looks like. |

Solid conversation topic OP,
hmmmmm... When the day comes, and I do dread that day oh so much... at the current stage of my life (1 child under 2, a second child incoming any day now) I'm pretty sure my money will be on the G90 M5 or the new S63 whenever it decides to rear its head. Although I'm not a MB fan in general, the S class has always been the pinnacle of luxury/executive saloon as far as I can remember. A shame that the M5 has no "real" competition as its the only super sedan that is SO driver focused and not so much toys/ extras that all other companies push

As a few have said previously, it's a wait and see what BMW do design wise with the next generation 5 series.
I've been seriously considering downsizing and just using the truck as the family vehicle, if I do go that route possibly a GT3 Touring, GT4 Cayman or see if an M2 CS / CSL continues the trend of great driving M cars. |

Briefly, but seriously, contemplated the RS6 (wagon, in my case) as well before ordering my next F90. A phenomenal automobile for sure, but no M5.

Got 2 years left on my 22 MC, but thinking of the following:
1. Be sensible and get X6M due to family 2. Be somewhat sensible and get a RS6 or E63S Wagon. 3. Be really sensible and get a Porsche Taycan 4. Not be sensible, get an M8 5. Be boring and get another M5 (which I love) |

600LT is a beast. Values are up, i sold mine a few months ago and made some money. Very, very visceral car. I do miss it. It's a handful. Don't make cars like that anymore. I'd go for it. Will give you a new perspective on speed... |

I'm not a big options person. These types of vehicles (imo) come looking the part from factory. I could careless about loads of CF. I did have the Senna seats, which were pretty cool. I think if there was one thing i'd option again, it's that, along with alcantara interior. And of course whatever exterior color you choose. But again, i dont think any Mclaren "needs" any options. I ordered my 720 almost barebones except for color, sound system, and SLW wheels. Thats it. Can't speak too much on reliability, i only had the 600 for a few months before the gold rush started, but she ran well. I believe all 600LT's that dont have extended warranty should be exiting factory warranty period this year..So make sure your car was serviced etc. I personally woudn't buy one thats tuned either. If you are seriously interested in one, let me know i have a contact at Houston, or Ogara. Just pm me. Good luck! |
