It was pretty involved but got it knocked out with only a couple of F-me moments along the way. Sorry that wasn't more help. One of the reasons I did it myself is I haven't found a go to shop for the M5 yet. |

I didn't take many pics of the install cuz I am terrible at documenting but if you have any questions about what's involved with install I'd be happy to share my experience. And one big challenge definitely was lack of how to/install info for the F90.

If you make any adjustments or have a packer set up that works out well post it. Curious of other set up's. I have one set of packers on the fronts only. Very happy with it.

I'll prob try your setup with one in the fronts only then try adding one in the back and see if that has any impact on rear grip off the line and corner exit. |

Sorry to bother you, but if you don't mind could you answer these questions?
1. What was the cost for installation? 2. Where did you have the installation done? 3. How is the ride quality? 4. Has steering feel improved? 5. Any problems or unforeseen issues? TIA P.S., looks great. |

2. Automotive performance turning in PA 3. Ride quality does not feel rough at all. It’s hard to describe but it feels firmer and stiffer but the comfort and ride quality has not suffered. I do have the lci which has the m8 dampers. 4. I would say I do notice that the steering feels sharper and more direct, but have not driven it too many miles as of yet. The car definitely feels more planted and responsive so far to me. 5. No issues that I can foresee other than I will see if there is any rubbing once I get the spacers. Will also be changing to 285/295 35 20s once I get a set of 20 inch HREs in the next month or two. |

My local BMW dealer won't touch any non-BMW parts, so I will need to find an independent installer as well. At this point I will probably wait until spring as I don't see much value in an upgraded suspension just in time to install the winter tires ;-). In any case, the Dinan kit does look very promising. |

This looks like the best HAS kit out there. As I'm doing some research before buying my M5 Comp, it sounds like it has the ability to deliver more road feel but yet rides better? I've rarely had any aftermarket suspension mods do that - usually the factory has to comporomise one way or the other. I would be surprised that BMW wouldn't have found that balance before Dinan would? Not trying to be a debbie downer, but just want to know before I spend the money to mod. That said, it does look the best of all the spring solutions. Thanks!

Coming from a M3 cs with coilovers there was no way I was going to daily a car with that type of ride quality again, so choosing something that wouldn’t kill the ride quality was important to me. I think the m8 dampeners in the lci models make a huge difference in comfort that I don’t even notice any added harshness from the Dinans, while still benefitting from the improved handling, road feel and stance. |

Does this suspension provide enough clearance when raised all the way up for something like winter driving? I may have missed that detail on Dinan's page, I live in northeast Ohio and my pre lci M5 is my daily. I've been looking to do suspension on the car but would obviously need to clear some snow for a few months out of the year.

New owner of a 2018 M5 and thinking about doing this next. It sounds like exactly what the car needs. I have 12 mm/15mm spacers on order and I have stock 20" wheels/tires. Can someone confirm this setup will work with the dinan suggested drop without rubbing with those sizw spacers?
BTW, Dinan marked the price $1350 for the kit on their site. |
