For all intents and purposes, we won't see an M2c near $60k in the near future.
My local dealer finally took off the 5k mark up; however, they checked every box on the options list and have two M2's @ $81k sitting on the showroom floor. |

You're not going to see an M2C on a lot until at least this time next year anyway. They're all gonna come in pre-sold.

The 718 GTS will be a great drive though. I won't deny that. Considering all three cars you have listed are not considered the pinnacle of sheer aural pleasure (compared to say, a GT350R or F-Type R), the 718 GTS will be the most fun to drive.

Drove the M4 quite often. I really have to say that I like the car. I like the stance and the wheelbase much more than what the M2 offers. And...for anyones suprise, I even like the sound (ZCP with MPP sounds amazing to my ears)!

You must drive on smaller/lower speed tracks cause no way a s/c elise/exige is more fun than a gt3 on a medium/larger track.

Having driven both the M2 LCI and the 718 GTS, I'd say the GTS is more of a precision instrument making it more fun at the track. But when no one's lookin, the M2 is way more fun. While the M2 is cheaper, if you drive anything like me you'll make up the difference in tires

The 718 is is a cracking motor but for me the engine sound is not right... my dealers have given me two try days at the Silverstone, first on the launch and second with the GTS...
Massive improvements dynamically / breaking etc, but the engine was a big no for me... currently hoping the 718 spyder will be NA I wasn't blown away by the GT4 far to hyped and I sold mine, I've kept my Spyder 987 still even though it was a hated model on launch. Off the cuff, I decided to get a M2 comp and been impressed with it as a daily run round. |

This is subjective and based on my own preferences, but:
1.) 718 looks......ehhh, never liked the design of it. 2.) The 4 banger in it sounds terrible. 3.) It's overpriced for what it is. |

I think you will become a better driver in the MC2. In other words, you will need to finesse the chassis, throttle, brakes and tail drift on the MC2 to be able to accomplish what the Cayman will do naturally.
What car would be more fun, the BMW no doubt. The M2C has all the right tools, it's up to you to extract all the performance from it. Plus, I believe the M2C has better road presence, it's handsome with out shouting "look at me." |
