I think he is talking about switching the dash to M mode view. You have to press the M mode button manually to activate that view on the dash. And I agree with him, its kind of annoying

Mine turns off when I open the door. Is your seat belt still fastened when you open the door or have you checked your iDrive settings?

Dislike — Removal of 12 volt plug from inside the center console, removal of manual valet switch in glove box, lack of sport plus steering mode (all from pre-LCI to LCI).

Like — the new design overall, obviously.

I believe if you wait 5 seconds after turning off the engine before opening the door then the stereo will turn off immediately after opening the door. It always works for me.

I have never had this issue in my 2021.

Likes: timeless look and insane engine
dislikes: the fake carbon fiber. Should've used the same in the M3/M4.

theres a valet switch in the glove box?! i could have used this when i had a local shop install the monoballs and my drone mobile recorded a 30 min time period in which the engine was on...leading me to believe someone took it for a joy ride. i have sense upgraded my account to do gps data logging every 2 minutes.

My biggest complaint would be from a roll using paddles car is faster in auto…. roll racing etc.

Love the speed grip and comfort

Iron fist in a velvet glove - still cannot believe how good this car handles on track in biblical rain.

Charging tray - when 6" is just not enough

There was in my '19, but not in my '22. Though I believe there is an iDrive option for it. I believe you have a '20 — it may have it!

EDIT — I found it in iDrive! Swipe down on the display from the "switch off screen" (BMW's wording, not mine), and scroll to the right. It's towards the end.
