Regarding the carbin ceramic brakes i would not spec my M5 Competition with that option, escpecially when i am not going to drive on a racetrack.

CCB are built to be used on a racetrack because they need high temperatures to work properly.

When you are driving the car on normal street roads the "standard"M-brakes will do well.

Also the CCB tend to make squeaking noises and i am not sure if you really want to have a squeaking M5.
Also replacement is way more expensive.

If you can i would go back to the M-Perfomance brakes... but that is just my opinion on that matter.
CCB's work very well for daily driving .. no noise and zero dust.

Steels are noisy and produce a ton of dust.

I've had both steels and CCB's on this platform and CCB's are superior for street use, in my opinion, for many different reasons.

When CCB are cold they tend to squeak. At least here in Munich.
For them to work they need heat or high temperatures. You live in Miami, so i guess you do not have snow in Miami as we do here in Munich in winter.

As i can see OP lives in Austin, which has hot summers and mild winters. So maybe he wont have that problem.

But i have seen a porsche driver who has just collected his new porsche with CCB and when he approached a red light his brakes did not have enough temperature to work properly and he ended up in the back of the car in front of him.

Also you should talk to your dealer about the replacement costs after for example 50.000 miles. CCB are signifacant more expensive to replace.
