Yeah it won't be 100% on power reading if its a dyno that goes off acceleration (dynojet). If its using force readings it won't matter much at all as its using speed and torque to get horsepower which won't change between gears unlike wheel acceleration. But if you're using it to compare hp gains, the delta between the 2 will be spot regardless of dyno type so you'll get a pretty accurate power increase reading. Also, the dyno operator should be clued up on how to run the car and what ratio they'd prefer to use depending on dyno type.
