Both of the DME's were on different software versions. So either when Dinan flashed them they didn't flash both of them or the previous owner had work done and the vendor or BMW didn't update both DME's. So the tunes that I've had were only going to 1 DME and not both and we're rejected by the system. Haven't done a Dragy test yet for the stage 2 so idk if there are any gains yet.

Was that a dealer fix or did BM3 or someone else have the software to update the DMEs to match? I know some fancy high level scanners (like $2500 and up) can reprogram DMEs but you often need additional cost subscriptions).

Maybe wait on the custom tune until all the mods are installed so you can properly run the Stage 2 OTS 93 octane tune. See how you are going then in good air — like early morning after a cooler day rather than late afternoon on a hot day.
Also consider meth if you are in a hot area. Or E30/40 mix. No E85 near me so I use meth controlled by a JB4 that adds 5 psi on top of the Stage 2 OTS 93. |

Not really. It runs out of steam up top. I can feel when it gives up. Lol. Have to remember though, this DA is over 500ft worse than my best previous trap and was 0.2 faster across the board. In the same air, this would have trapped probably mid 128mph beating the previous by over 1mph. Not significant by any means, but it's still running stock boost levels.

I think it's running as expected now, especially in the bad air I have to deal with. I logged yesterday but it didn't save locally. I'll have to get a better adapter so my phone doesn't cut in and out so I can use my phone for the logs.

Not yet. I'm in the process of installing the downpipes myself because no one locally was willing. I worked on it for about 45 minutes and called it quits. Got the topside done and will loosen the stock secondaries tomorrow and try and get the new ones on.

I used to race dirt track and build "race" cars. I can pretty much do any task on cars, I just choose not to because of the pain I get in my fake hip and stuff. Rather just make money and pay someone. |

I sprayed the secondaries with penetrating fluid and wiggled and pulled for a bit and got them out. Some hammer on the pipes but that can damage the cats and 02s. I pushed the midpipe back a few inches and wedged a block of wood between the resonator and trans to hold it back. This gave me space to wiggle the secondaries out of the midpipes. My car is in a state that sees winter so that makes everything harder to take apart.

Did you remove the skid plate? Appears to be like 10 bolts. Haven't gotten all the way under the car yet to look so I don't know on that part yet. |

Yes, I removed the aluminum plate. You have to reach in there to unbolt the secondaries from the lower bracket and the space helps. You may also need the space to get the stock secondaries out. But I just followed the video I found online and did not try removing the downpipes with the plate in place.
