They replied to 2 emails in an hour and 15 minutes before they closed- after I asked for them to even call me or to remote in with TeamViewer, etc. The extent of the emails was to take a picture of a screen with software ID's and nothing after that. Shitty customer service. So it's dead until next week when they can figure something out. I just tried every flash option to no avail so I'm done messing with it.
Yeah, I think they are good at problem solving so I suspect you'll get squared away, it's just waiting. Is your car at home?
Yeah I got it in the garage at least. Bout the only positive. I may disconnect the battery tomorrow and let it sit for a bit to see if that can help.

Do you get error messages when flashing? Like powertrain and stuff? I have one for engine oil, too.
All kinds of messages and chimes during, but they should clear up as it finishes.
Ok. I can check that off the list then. Lol. This purchase (F90) has been a nightmare and pretty much regret it at this point. Ready to set it on fire and roll it down a hill.
I bet you the bm3 folks will figure it out.

Both of the DME's were on different software versions. So either when Dinan flashed them they didn't flash both of them or the previous owner had work done and the vendor or BMW didn't update both DME's. So the tunes that I've had were only going to 1 DME and not both and we're rejected by the system. Haven't done a Dragy test yet for the stage 2 so idk if there are any gains yet.

Was that a dealer fix or did BM3 or someone else have the software to update the DMEs to match? I know some fancy high level scanners (like $2500 and up) can reprogram DMEs but you often need additional cost subscriptions).

It was through BM3 sitting in my garage. They used E Sys and went through its interface. It was trademarked a BMW product.

Idk yet. I'm meeting someone local and buying a Dragy off them. My catless DP's aren't in yet and the tune is built around that but still hoping I have some small gains at least.

Car is almost 0.2 faster across the entire board in 400ft worse DA than any of my other pulls. She's moving out now in local air. Now it's time to get a custom tune and raise the boost from stock and make some bigger gains. I'll be putting my catless DP's on this week if at all possible.

Maybe wait on the custom tune until all the mods are installed so you can properly run the Stage 2 OTS 93 octane tune. See how you are going then in good air — like early morning after a cooler day rather than late afternoon on a hot day.

Also consider meth if you are in a hot area. Or E30/40 mix. No E85 near me so I use meth controlled by a JB4 that adds 5 psi on top of the Stage 2 OTS 93.

Yep. Custom tune will be after DP's installed. Custom tune will be a bit down the road. Had a lot of projects going on around the house and that drained me. I have tons of E85 so I will have utkunoa do E85 for play and a 93 for daily. Might wait a check or 2 or more before going custom.

Use the BM3 to log and then find someone who knows how to read logs well to check it out and tell you whether anything looks like an issue.

Not really. It runs out of steam up top. I can feel when it gives up. Lol. Have to remember though, this DA is over 500ft worse than my best previous trap and was 0.2 faster across the board. In the same air, this would have trapped probably mid 128mph beating the previous by over 1mph. Not significant by any means, but it's still running stock boost levels.

I think it's running as expected now, especially in the bad air I have to deal with. I logged yesterday but it didn't save locally. I'll have to get a better adapter so my phone doesn't cut in and out so I can use my phone for the logs.

Not yet. I'm in the process of installing the downpipes myself because no one locally was willing. I worked on it for about 45 minutes and called it quits. Got the topside done and will loosen the stock secondaries tomorrow and try and get the new ones on.

If you got the catless primaries installed in 45 minutes you are fast.

Nope. Just the topside done. I've got to get under the car tomorrow to remove the secondaries. I'm taking pictures along the way to help others on a review/technical post. Secondaries are loose from the primaries but the band clamp is tight so I can't wiggle them free. Smooth sailing so far. With access to a lift, this should really only be like a 2 hour job. I'm working with manual jacks, ramps, and jackstands so that sucks. Plus I'm handicapped and have a fake hip. 😝.

I used to race dirt track and build "race" cars. I can pretty much do any task on cars, I just choose not to because of the pain I get in my fake hip and stuff. Rather just make money and pay someone.

I sprayed the secondaries with penetrating fluid and wiggled and pulled for a bit and got them out. Some hammer on the pipes but that can damage the cats and 02s. I pushed the midpipe back a few inches and wedged a block of wood between the resonator and trans to hold it back. This gave me space to wiggle the secondaries out of the midpipes. My car is in a state that sees winter so that makes everything harder to take apart.

I have a 4 post and it took me a lot longer than 2 hours to install springs front and rear. More like a day but a couple of hours were disassembling that you won’t be doing because you are just swapping struts. If I did it again, I sound be faster.
I removed the o2 sensors already so I'm not concerned with damaging those. The vband between the secondaries and primaries are also loosened. I haven't seen what it looks like yet, but based on the slip on style at the end of the secondary, once what I'm thinking is going to be a band clamp is loosened, I should be able to either push them up and pull them out or completely dislodge the primaries and pull those out and then slide the secondaries off the mids and take them out from the bottom. I don't believe I will need to loosen any of the other exhaust components with the method I'm using but we shall see!

Did you remove the skid plate? Appears to be like 10 bolts. Haven't gotten all the way under the car yet to look so I don't know on that part yet.

Yes, I removed the aluminum plate. You have to reach in there to unbolt the secondaries from the lower bracket and the space helps. You may also need the space to get the stock secondaries out. But I just followed the video I found online and did not try removing the downpipes with the plate in place.
