Door creaking noise
Have a 2019 M5 that for the last year the passenger side door creaks as I drive. Happens on smooth and rough pavement and at all speeds. Slowly gets quite annoying. Have taken it to dealer multiple times. Best they have done so far is change out the door seals with no help. Now the BMW rep had to come in and look at it. They are now theorizing that my window tint is causing the issue. They advised that the next step would be to remove the tint at my cost and see if the issue persists. Anyone have any similar issues or thoughts?? Thanks in advance!!

Yes cracking the window appears to resolve the creaking… but do we think removing the tint is going to resolve it?

Removing tint is easy. Just use a cheap steamer from Amazon. 30 min max

Well I'd love to know! Dealership just called… took tint off without resolution of creaking noise. Ordered a new trim piece of some sort. Will be forced to drive with a tintless passenger window until the trim piece arrives…

Ive also cured this on some cars, with a good old IPA wipe on a microfibre cloth, and given the felt a good old scrubbing. Hopefully this will cure it for you. Its just not the rubber seals at fault here either, its the felt, good luck |

Once again, a forum member bests a dealership/SA.

Dealer has had the car once again and thinks they have solved the issue. Took car to body shop. Took entire passenger side door apart. Discovered broken welds along the b pillar. Re welded the areas and reassembled the door. They plan to put the tint back on the window tomorrow and then return the car. I will let you know if the noise is completely gone.
