Alvite Grey Help - Pics of my new car

Hello M5ers... First post here!!! I have recently put a deposit down on an Alvite Grey 2021 M5C on Silverstone. Trading in my 2016 M3. Cant get to the dealer to see for another few days. Ive been searching high and low and only found one post around here regarding this exterior colour and some members suggested that its the new Champagne Quartz. I remember seeing that in person and wasn't a big fan. I can get my deposit back Im sure but wanted to know if anyone has more more pictures of the F90 M5 in that colour? These are the pics I got from the dealer of the car. Its sitting indoors and I love the way it looks right there. The fear is how the sun would make it look. Don't want to drive around in a brown car. Thanks in advanced guys...

Alvite will look gray in shadows. Sunlight brings a ton of copper/browns out in the metallic.

I know it's easier said then done, but it will be best to see the color in person if possible. Photos really don't tell the tale when it comes to these exterior colors. Take for instance, Donington Grey. It looks very different in person from the photos since the lighting in certain photos make it have more of a silver tint to it. In person, it has a slight tint of champagne hue in it especially when not in the light.

I just took delivery of my Alvite M5C and trust me you will not be disappointed. It's a very unique color with def hues of brown but it changes in sunlight from brown to bronze to gray. I love it!

You don't want to buy another black or white one!

Will try to upload some decent pics soon.

It's hard to do the color justice. As mentioned, in the sun you get that bronze tint coming out otherwise it's gray out of the sun

definitely a darker champagne quartz. But doesn't mean you won't like it in person. Not my cup of tea but neither was DG but its slowly grown on me.

I think you'll dig it. It's just Champagne Quartz, but darker for the LCI. Only got to see CQ in person on the F80, but I loved it then. AG looks about the same to me, but haven't seen it in person. Congrats!

We just did a set of painted reflectors in this color and in person the color is amazing. Photos do not do it justice at all.

So this is CQ on my current F80, I wanted to spec it for my F90 and couldn’t. With some help from the forum I went to my dealership and they confirmed with BMW that Alvite Grey is CQ, same paint code just an updated name for some reason.

I can’t get a picture that does the paint justice, it’s totally dependant on how the light catches it.

From another thread about this: According to the Standox paint formula site, Alvit is the same as Champagne Quartz

Definitely has a metallic brown/copper look. In my opinion, it will not work with Silverstone inside. It will work great with Aragon or Tartufo.
