I got my call back from executive customer relations and the lady I talked with said the SW fix takes one hour to perform, and will be made available to dealers "very soon". When I asked for more specificity she said the best she can say is within the next 1-2 weeks, and wlbecame quite cagey when pressed for more.

I guess they must still be in testing and want to leave their options open if the VPC car reprograms fail out for whatever reason.

Seems like the 23rd is still a likely date.

I am going to call my CA in a little bit. Knowing that Monday is firming up to be day, going to see if he can get the car prepped up over the weekend so that I can p/u Monday evening. My schedule gets a little hectic Tuesday through the weekend with work and Holidays.

Will really eat me up if the car is ready before the holiday, but I can't fit the p/u into my schedule.

The answer I have just received from Genius is that the software update is to happen at the dealerships and Not at the VPC.
Cars will be in transit to the appropriate dealership, once the stop/Sale is removed.
No time given for when it will happen !!

Executive relations just called me finally after my FB trolling yesterday. Similar story. 1 hour to fix etc. He said he had no update on when it was going to be, but expected to have that answer by tomorrow and would call me again to update me. So yeah, basically nothing useful lol.

Doesn't make sense for them to not fix the car at VPC. Lots of conflicting info here. Others say it will be tested at the VPC first then released to the dealers

I just put a deposit down on an m5 comp currently at VPC. CA told me they were informed today that the fix for the stop-sale will be available Monday or Tuesday (I didn't ask if it was going to be fixed at VPC or at the dealership).

Originally I had planned to order a car, but the incoming one was close enough to desired specs so I'm going for it (first time buying a "lot car" &#128514. This means I'll be parting with my beloved m550 sooner than I thought... little bit of separation anxiety setting in.

+1 Hopefully I can ride that same wave in. My vessel ETA at VPC is now pushed up several more days to 11/27...

Just got a call from BMW Corp regarding the stop sale after I posted on their Instagram page. Was told the campaign will be released to dealerships soon so I'll only have to wait a few more days to pick up, likely another 3-4 days. Didn't get a specific date.

So looks like this info aligns with what others are saying about the 23rd date.

What was interesting is I didn't provide them a phone number or VIN. Crazy how they could identify me from a post on me their social media platform. Scary!

Just got off the phone with BMW and they also said the work order is completed (so car is fixed) and is on its way to the dealer!

Stop sale isn't lifted, but I assume it will be next week!

Mine just arrived today, winters show up. Michelin Pa4 and the 275/35 has a different tread pattern than my 285/35 rear.

Dealer said Monday the car should be fixed and ready to go!!! Just in time for my 39th bday Monday!!

So it does sound like the VPCs got the code before the dealers do. My dealer says they still haven't heard anything and my guess is they won't till either Saturday or Monday.

Hi all.

Yesterday I have been in service.

They changed me the oil after the engine burn-in and also solved the tank fuel ventilation issue - by software programming.

I took approx 3-4hours.
