It will be interesting to see the M-Performance Kit and how it looks, and more importantly, feels.

I've had KW HAS on two F10 M5's as well as my F90 M5C and have been pleased overall.
I'm wondering why the BMW suspension engineers decided to approach their HAS differently than KW? KW uses the helper spring to keep tension on the main spring if you choose to use the maximum drop of adjustment. Does the BMW method give a smoother ride with more large diameter spring to use for all of the travel? But, which has the more firm ride?

I wish either BMW or KW would give their customers more information on the spring rates. All I've heard from the KW distributor is that they're progressive, so we can't give you a rate. Perhaps that's true, but they could easily put them on a test rig, start pressure readings at installed height, and then give a pound reading every 1/4" of travel until coil bind, or whatever the suspension travel is. That way we'd have a way to compare the kits.

I've asked IND if they might do that, or have Fall Line do that, but doubt either will do it. Not much incentive for them to take the trouble. I'm considering spending the extra money for the BMW HAS just to see. I had the KW v3 on my F10 and thought it was very good, but I'm not going to spend the money for their v4 for the F90.
100% .....

V4 is the route IMO but so pricey. Looking forward to your feedback on the BMW HAS.

Guys (IND) - why don't we have any information on the amount of the drop? The total silence on this is.... odd.

Well, after seeing the effort involved in installing the H&R Springs on my M5 Comp...I'd say it's a lot more labor intensive than one would expect. To get to the rear struts, you have to take apart a good portion of the rear interior...which is not all that hard...but is time consuming.
@Vic55 know how long it took me to swap his F90 spring to M550iX spring.

Yes, I dont think you had to remove hardly anything in the rear besides the deck right?

The adjustability range is Front 10-25mm and Rear 5-20mm. Is this measured from the standard M5, or the M5 Comp which is 7mm lower?

The KW Kit is very good if you're looking for OEM ride quality and adjustability with little bounce or rebound.

The front height comes into play if you're looking for a more aggressive drop. If you're looking for a moderate drop it is simple to get all four corners to have the same tire / fender gap.

If you go aggressive (bottomed out or close to it) on the rears you can't match the fronts as they simply don't go as low as the rears. The flip side is this aggressiveness will come with more rebound and bounce.

It will be interesting to see the M-Performance Kit and how it looks, and more importantly, feels.

I've had KW HAS on two F10 M5's as well as my F90 M5C and have been pleased overall.

In the end, how low you want to go will play a huge factor in the suspension you choose.

The M550i H&R springs look really good if you want a drop that's more aggressive.

KW HAS or H&R M5 springs both work well for a less aggressive drop with the KW having the benefit of adjustability.
I don't want to rub, will the H&R cause that with 21s?

I keep hearing KE HAS makes a ton of noise?

I just had the BMW kit installed on my 21 Comp...could go a tiny bit lower but I like the height...so far the ride quality seems identical...maybe a tiny bit "harsher" but it wasn't harsh one bit prior to install.

Looks good, but still torn.

Ryan@IND Any pictures of the two kits side by side? These, along with a handful of other detail pieces will be ordered any day now in prep for the new car. I like how they fall in the category of "OEM" with the M Perf title, but I had an epic 6 years on my KW HAS kit with my M4, and would need some solid comparison notes & pics!

In case anyone is interested in these wheels they are 863M not 873M. It took me a good 30 min to find them but the part numbers are:

Front Wheels: 9.5Jx20 ET28 (p/n 36118097642)
Rear Wheels: 10.5Jx20 ET28 (p/n 36118097643)
