M5 Comp Rear Diffuser

I would not hesitate, the M Performance CF diffuser looks fantastic. I paired it with the M Performance splitters and rear spoiler.

Wow! My build starts next Tuesday and I hope I'm not too late to get this added. You guys sold me! I'm ordering BHG and the pics you guys are posting look amazing with the Carbon Pro Spoiler which I am having installed at the dealership separately.

Any idea on what the actual cost was? I know the amounts the dealership quotes will not match the BMW Website ($1,250) for some odd reason. I assume it will add like $12-$15 per month?

$1315 port installed. As long as your not in status 150 you should be able to add it.

$1315 port installed. As long as your not in status 150 you should be able to add it.

You can add port installed accessories right up to the car arriving at VPC.

I added the diffuser and side skirts when my car was on the water and it wasn't a problem.

Oh interesting, my CA said I had to add PIA before 150. Either way good to know, but I added in everything I wanted already! Thanks!

Well. Thanks for this thread OP. I added the CF Diffuser to my build this afternoon and think it will pair nicely with the Carbon Pro Spoiler. Thanks to others for posting pics. Really helped me make the decision, especially since I am ordering mine in BHG.

Well. Thanks for this thread OP. I added the CF Diffuser to my build this afternoon and think it will pair nicely with the Carbon Pro Spoiler. Thanks to others for posting pics. Really helped me make the decision, especially since I am ordering mine in BHG.

You won't regret it. The CF accessories look great on BHG - color I chose for mine as well.
Consider adding the CF side skirts too - it makes the car look slightly lower and i have yet to kick it getting in or out of the car - which was a concern.

I have the M Performance Diffuser and the hands free trunk release still works. You will need to activate the feature.

Very strange. Almost as if it’s been coded out.

Hands free trunk is listed as a standard feature, so it should be there.

Yeah I know. What the heck?! Wonder if this has something to do with the chip shortage and features being removed. Here is the list of standard features for the F90 on BMW USA Website. I would think if the feature was removed they would take it out as a "feature" like they did with the ventilated seats on my wife's 2021 X5.

None taken. Yeah there is nothing above Digital Key. In other words, I am at the top of the page. I even went to the digital Owners Manual and type the word tailgate in. Nothing comes up. This makes no sense.

Wow that is so weird! I am at a loss. I'm sure you'll be taking it in to the dealer so please keep us posted.

Got to the bottom of it. It appears that when the Carbon Diffuser was installed at port, they deactivated the touchless trunk activation feature for some odd reason. The shop foreman believes this can be recoded back but will need to take a look at my car. I will have this addressed once I take it in for the 1,200 mile service.

Great news! Sucks that it happened in the first place, seems like an annoying oversight but looks like you might have an amicable solution.
