Misfire / rough idle in freezing temps

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Anyone have issues with a rough idle or misfires during near-zero temps this winter? We had a couple storms in February in Chicago and twice when starting up in the morning the car ran real rough and threw a check engine light. Shut it down and tried again a few minutes later and it idled normally and drove okay. I had no time to take it to the dealer when it happened but took it yesterday and they say there were multiple misfires on cyl 1 and 7, but they couldn’t reproduce the issue during their misfire diagnostics.

The car has been running just fine since then, but it bugs me that this happened. I have 20K on my 2019, and only other maintenance is the tank recall.

Spark plugs are to be changed every 24,000KM.
Perhaps that might be it

They changed the plugs today, so maybe that will prevent the issue in the future.

I use a few different stations for my commute, but I don’t think it does, not certain. I have read before that it can cause issues when under max throttle/high load conditions, didn’t know it would cause misfires under freezing conditions.
