Take it if you can get it!! Some dealers are getting a little more aggressive as inventory starts to increase.

I took delivery of one of the first M5C in early September so my deal was nowhere near this.

Good Luck!!!!!

The drive off will be around $8K; this is TX so I will have a big tax bill that I hate to roll into the lease payment (around $5.9K).

The dealer did not go for the 9% off - says that is below his invoice (which is stretching the truth). These guys are fair guys so I'll have to either continue to negotiate or expand my horizon - my absolute must have is 8% off MSRP. Not going to budge from there.

My taxes are rolled into the monthly payment, so if you exclude that you are roughly at the $1400 ($1392 to be exact) a month. Are you suggesting that the price of the lease should be low $1400's even with taxes included? I suppose I could always pay the taxes up front if they would allow to reduce the payment. Not sure how I feel coughing up another 5k at signing.

Dude, just be patient and wait out the 5 months. In May, the weather will be warmer for you the enjoy the car, and the dealers will be begging you to take the car to clear way for the '20s. i'm sure there will be better residuals and maybe a rebate on the comp. put that 5k toward the mods.

Yes. Let it sit there for 9+ months and buy in Q4 when the dealer will make a zero or even loser deal to wash their hands.

9% is under invoice. You can check the actual invoice numbers for your build at NADA.com.

In my opinion you are also better off rolling the taxes into the financing. The rate is very low and it's always better to put the least amount of money possible down on a lease. If you drive the car out of the dealership and wreck the cat immediately your insurance will typically pay off the lease but will not reimburse you for any money you have already spent. Of course you have to also consider the time value of money and the opportunity cost of giving them the money upfront anyway.

I am curious how it is worth the time consumed to keep trying, including different dealers, to get 1%-2% extra or so for a $120k car especially if happy with dealership in general. Curious also how you picked the 8% as what you have to have discount wise. At the the end, especially leasing, most likely you are talking about less than $1k over the course of the lease which is a tiny amount compared to the monthly lease payment.

Agree with you on building loyalty with a Dealership; 100% agree ... but the 1%-2% is important because that is what makes this process fun - it is the art of hunting and gathering

Listen to this guy. I bought my X5 in July at 10% off and free tinting for the front.

Went to check out the car, loved it. They ran my credit and I got approved for a higher MF. Payments came up to $2,200... I passed on a deal. Left with X5 5.0 M Pack. Ok for now. I'll get the M5 end of this year!

Quiet last week...

Anyone have news on February program yet and if the 5k lease credit continues and any changes to MF/RV?

Following up with my deal (custom build):

2019 Non-competition
MSRP: $115,095
Selling price: $109,000 (before lease cash)
Rebate: $5,000
Net cap cost: $104,000
MF: .00188 (pre-MSDs)
Residual: 54% (36 mo / 36k miles)
MA tax: 6.2%
Monthly: $1505
Drive-off (incl MSDs): $13,629 (incl. $10,850 MSDs)

Thought this was a reasonable price for a custom build, as most local dealers weren't willing to give up an allocation at this price. Went out of state but not too far. I flew cross-country to pick up my M3 last time, so this was much more convenient.

Allocation is build week 10 / week of March 4th - going to be a long wait but very excited about the upgrade. This thing is awesome!

Looks like February lease programs are now out...residuals unchanged for 2019 MY. Anyone know what the base MF for February is?

Sounds like a good deal...but maybe post it in the M3 forum and you'll get better informed responses.
