Couple of weeks ago I picked up a new Aventador S. Here she is....

As far a tech goes its clunky, unpredictable, and backward. But holy sh*t its loud, fast and brings the biggest smile to your face...

Macca is smooth and easy to drive and its party piece is warp speed thrust when turbos kick in... the Vent S is just bonkers and makes you work hard to perfect a gear change but oh so rewarding. That noise at 8k rpm in a tunnel is laughable...

I took my 4 kids out 1 by 1 ( obvs) and achieved 5.3 mpg over 31 miles... real numbers full to full.

Aventador S stock exhaust is loud and obnoxious. In strada which is like comfort or eco mode, if you can call it that, is the quiet mode. So at idle it is quiet and very non-V12 like. As soon as you?re in Sport and engine is hot, the pops and bangs and rasp are pretty wild. Weirdly they are louder in sport, than they are in corsa, which is the hardcore mode.

Apparently corsa mode is more 4wd focused than in sport which is more rear wheel drive focussed... this is what the dealer told me anyway...

. This is just a tame pull away from cold..

Congratulations, what an extraordinary piece of kit, as you say!

We need to implement a new M5 Post rule that says when a fellow member takes ownership of a supercar, other members are to be invited over for test drives!!

Thanks Vik. I feel very lucky with this purchase, much like the mclaren, and will try and do some sound clips inside and out. My camera and recording skills are pretty shite though..
