Tuning is the only difference, hence the reason when you go stage 1,2 the HP/tq is the same wether you are comp or not. IIRC the comp makes slightly more boost up top to account for the difference in HP but not an increase in tq.

There is no difference in the motors. Very slight difference in the programming of the ECU operating the motor.
Some say there was a change to the cylinders lining around 2020. No one has said the change has any significance in terms of performance or durability. |

Same engine. Not sure how you’ll get the computer to like it.

The computer won’t know the difference — and there is no difference in motors ir ECUs. The comp computer is flashed with the comp tune, which works fine on the non comp. I have run the comp tune on my non comp.

The mod bug got me before I even had the car. I started with a JB4 immediately, added the BMS meth kit a month later, and after about a year installed CTS Turbo high flow primary cats and catless secondaries along with the BM3. I bought the bundle of tunes for the BM3 and tried the Comp tune but it was not noticeable so I went to the Stage 2 for 93 tune with the JB4 just controlling meth. Later, I changed to MAD catless primaries. Then I added 5 psi through the JB4 when the meth is flowing. Also added Xhp trans tune.
