Megan Racing Exhaust
I tried searching but couldn't find anything on it unless I didn't try hard enough...which is possible.
Just happen to be searching for an exhaust and came across this - https://www.lethalperformance.com/me...hoCZiQQAvD_BwE Wondering if anyone has tried it? In most cases you get what you pay for but at that cost I'd be willing to take a bet and see what happens. |

I ran a Megan rear on my E90 M3. My F90 exhaust is stock after the downpipes. Have not seen any dynos showing power gains for the rest of the exhaust.

It's an average brand.
I say average because their parts fit and are good quality, and the sound of their exhaust is below average. In my opinion, it's a waste to put Megan exhaust on an F90 M5. If you want to upgrade the sound of your car, you must invest in a more expensive exhaust system.

Losing the valves on this car will be a big mistake imo.

As I read more it seems that is the consensus. Just look for something to produce a little more volume. Not looking to turn it into a pops and bangs nightmare, a few here and there are fine, but an overall increase in sound would be great.

With Megan Racing, it's, more often than not, too quiet. Their systems are very close to stock sound

Correct but the exhaust the op posted always runs through the muffler so it would technically be like disconnecting your valves in the closed position. I doubt its as muffled as the factory system but you get my point.

Definitely respect your authority on the subject (and acknowledge I have little to none myself) so my question is sincere and I’m genuinely curious: Why do you think BMW made their MPE valveless?

After having valves on my last 4 Bmws I would never consider a non valved system myself. The flexibility to go from ridiculous to professional is worth everything to me.

Personally, I'd stay away from Megan. It's just cheap Chinese crap. I had their BBK on my 2006 Infiniti G35 way back when and had nothing but problems. We are driving $120K cars, don't settle for such a brand.
