Dipping wing mirror issue

Despite moving the toggle switch to either driver or passenger side I still suffer from a dipping wing mirror when I want it to stay out! Any ideas?

you mean folding mirrors? That is controlled in the iDrive for auto folding. You can push the folding button to manual fold them.

The selection switch is used to adjust the mirrors, but if you leave it switch to the drivers side (if I recall) the car will tip the passenger mirror down when you back up. It's a nice idea but it moves so slow I find it useless.

It's a tipping issue. It doesn't seem to matter where the switch is (driver or passenger) it always tops and I can't get used to the perspective
