I need some assistance, I'm trying to replace my paddle shifters but I can't seem to figure out how to disconnect this blue connector. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

honestly, you don't have to, you can just take off the parts from the back and add the new paddles at the back, that is what i did.
but the blue ones are extremely difficult to remove |

I seen that video, thanks. Your car is a MY23 correct? The reason I ask is because my car doesn't have the regular bolt holding the steering wheel like the other F90's in all the videos. My car actually has a torx bolt. Did yours have a torx bolt as well? |

Top part where smaller blue connector connects to bigger blue connecter u can use a tiny flat had and try to pry it a bit. I have changed a lot of paddles and it always came off as u have to pry it a bit. Even if any clip breaks it doesn’t matter much as it will still sit tight once plugged in again.

Update: After studying the connector a bit more, there's a small hole where you can see a little notch. I inserted a really small flathead screwdriver and pushed up while holding the connector and the connector came appart easy. See attached pictures. Hopefully this helps anyone else trying to swap out their paddle shifters.
I love the carbon fiber look of the shifters and they make it a lot easier to reach. Once I get the torx bit, I will be able to install the rest of my steering wheel carbon trim. |
