It's not Apple's issue, BMW need to work it out.

Phone companies have no obligation to make sure its phone works on every car.

Same here, but now it reverted back again! Sometimes it works properly, but mostly not!

I'll add this to the list next week, when I get my snows mounted.

I'm not 100% on this but I think the problem went away when I disabled Bluetooth audio... I can't swear to that, though.

I disabled Bluetooth audio because every time I'd disconnect the USB-C cable, it'd automatically find the phone via Bluetooth, unmute and start playing again. As if that wasn't annoying enough, the next time I'd get in the car and plug it in, it would say no Audio device selected because it was still on Bluetooth but the USB connection trumped its wireless counterpart—> first world problems for sure but irritating because surely they could've found that in testing.

Just an aside, does the 11 pro fit in the charger tray? I have a Xs so I have no plans to upgrade to the 11. Maybe I'll get the 13 or 14...LOL.

It's getting difficult to allow the 'upgrades' to the OS on the phones since such issues come up. I'd just give it some time and Apple will get it sorted out.

The iPhone 11 Pro is basically the same size as iPhone XS.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max is essentially the same size as the iPhone XS Max.

The car. It's an option that i don't think was there prior to a recent software update. It's under device settings somewhere—the wording will make it obvious both assuming you have it. Note I have a 2020MY with Live Cockpit.

Sat w/ a tech yesterday. He told me to disconnect device and remove it from contact list. Reboot phone and reconnect to car, which worked!

Yes it does however it's a bit of tight fit with a case. You've got to maneuver it sometimes to lie flat to charge. Again that is case dependent.

Garage List
The iPhone 11 Pro Max fits perfectly. It’s almost the exact same size as the 10 XS Max. It seems to charge at the same rate too.
