OEM F90 M5 Comp springs on F90 M5 base?

Looking for some information and guidance, so thank you in advance. I have a 2020 M5 base. I’d like to lower it and put some spacers on it with the standard 706M wheels. Can I just get OEM M5 Comp springs and put those on my car to get the OEM M5 Comp stance? I’m not looking for anything too aggressive…just the M5 Comp stance on an M5 base. Or am I missing something else? Has anyone just done this? And which size spacers front and rear for a pretty flush look?

I could go the route of aftermarket springs or an HAS kit, but would rather keep the OEM look. Your help and guidance is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I have replaced struts and springs on 18 M5 with OEM LCI M5 Comp. That’s what it looks like. I am sure replacing springs only will work. Height difference is minimal so it’ll be just fine. If you’d be looking for more drop like an inch or more shocks will be working outside of their optimal performance.

Thank you. Appreciate the pics and input. Are you happy with the “drop”?

The difference is very small. Juice not really worth the squeeze on this one imo.

I put the M Performance HAS on my 2020 base and have been happy. 11mm spacers up front only. Not aggressive at all but worlds better than stock.

If you have chance go for LCI updated setup. Improvement in ride is well worth the change. If you just care about looks get lowering springs. I wasn’t going for the drop. My main purpose was to improve ride from IMO too stiff pre LCI setup.

OP, I would go with 11/15 spacers.

Difference in ride height with Comp springs is minimal.

H&R F90 M5 springs would give you a slightly lower drop that is still on the conservative side.

MP HAS is another option if OEM is what you seek .. will allow you to strike the perfect balance between ride height and ride quality.

Good luck!

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. Perhaps this is the way to go. 11mm front/15mm back?
