I’ve generally not owned any of my M5’s out of warranty. With that said, no major issues to report during the warranty period. Minor things with each generation covered under warranty.

had a F30 before. This is my first M car and I love it, but my daily drive barely has me getting above 1500 rpm’s.

Looking to get a Tacoma and lift it and have some fun with with the truck modding community so I can stop putting stupid miles on this gem.

These aren’t meant to be garage queens (IMHO). Enjoy your Tacoma for a different kind of experience, but the M5 is too good to not regularly enjoy also!

Definitely won’t be a garage queen but I can’t justify 12k miles a year. 7k sounds more reasonable. She’ll be driven. Just on really crappy Illinois snow days and having to have her spend the night in midways parking garage would hurt my soul too much. I just did a full clay, compound, polish and ceramic on her on my own. She’s only hand washed. The Tacoma, I’ll let the car wash have her and she’ll stay outside

While I can appreciate the desire for preservation, I’m glad to hear you’ll still get some use of it. I have a climate similar to yours and still DD it 12 months a year despite having other cars more suitable for the winters. Also only hand washed and meticulously looked after — but still thoroughly enjoyed.

I DD mine for 12 months as well, but only put about 6k on per year. I drive my wife’s X5 when the weather sucks, or work from home. 🤣 It’s a bit of a garage queen for sure, but I still drive it when I can and enjoy it every time.
