Mine took about a week, but it also depends on the boat schedules. Looks like you'll be on the 6th or the 13th. Add about 13-14 days to arrive in Halifax... then who knows...

My decoded VIN showed a Mar 18 build. My salesman called me in early May to say it had arrived in Halifax. I finally took delivery July 16 after my complaints were escalated by the dealer GM to BMW Canada HQ. Apparently my car was lost on a train somewhere in GTA rail yards. No special post production installations were involved.
I was told yesterday that there are major issues at the auto port in getting cars out of port

Mine landed in Halifax on March 19th and took about eight days to get loaded onto the railcar. ETA at the dealership is April 13th but I'm in Vancouver so it's obviously the longest rail trip.

Super excited! Received my production number from my SA a little over a week after placing the order for my M235i Black Sapphire/Coral Red. Hoping for mid May delivery as per my SA!

from the way mine is has progresse count on roughly 2 months from when a production number is assigned to when the dealer has it. Seems like most of the delay is between getting it off the boat and arriving at the dealer.. annoying the one part we have little to no tracking info on in Canada.

That make sense. SA set the expectation of a mid to late May delivery based on a mid March order. The wait is burning with excitement but gives me more time to decide on the modifications I want to install when I have it.

Oh man. We were told last week in April or first week in May. Highly unlikely with the car going into production 03/29/2016 and these recent timing experiences I'll see this car in Toronto in that timeframe. That's a bit disappointing.

No kidding, I'd be threatening to walk from the deal ... that's pretty ridiculous.

Yes it is...apparently it is affecting all brands that come into Halifax...has to do with CN backlog. The dealer isn't happy either

Brings back some bad memories from last year. Fortunately, I'm enjoying it now (and the weather today was amazing in Vancouver).

Great, right in the thick of this mess. I've already set my expectations for late May. Our X5 was "delivered" in 6 1/2 weeks from when we ordered. I guess that's the difference when it's North American built.

I've heard rumours that the German manufacturers are looking at switching to Vancouver. Costs of traversing the Panama Canal aren't that prohibitive and weather would be less of an issue.

The article states it really wasn't weather related (according to the port workers), though CN wants you to believe that is the issue

I was told 4 weeks from a mid March order. The bloody car got PRODUCED end of March. It won't be here for another month at least. So I feel your pain. At 17 weeks I would probably scream at the person who sold me the car unless you were told it would be long (guessing not the case).

Don't know where you ordered it from but Budds in Oakville is a joke. Sure, request I come with a cheque on a certain day but lie to me about when I'll recieve what I paid for.

i dont know where they'd get 4 weeks from. Absolute best case it's 1 week to go to production, 1 week to produce and get to the port, 2 weeks to ship, and a week to get to your dealer, PDI'd and ready to go. That's 5 weeks assuming you get a production slot pretty much right away and there are zero delays in shipping.

8 weeks is more realistic.

Not sure but it was a big selling point to convince me to order new.

Once it gets on a boat and arrives in Halifax how long did you wait/what is expected? 1 week as you indicated above? Does it change if I'm getting the MPE?
