Does anybody think that the New Lexus Is looks dated already.

Is it me or does the New Lexus Is look dated already. Instead the E90 looks better with time. The Bmw came out in May 2005 while the Lexus came out in October 2005 and yet it seems as if its been out for about two years.

If it didn't look too Japanese like a mazda 3 or 6, it would have stood out in a crowd like the E90.

It's you. I doesn't look old to me at all. BTW, I've only seen one since it came out and I say it looks good, but not good for me. Not my style. BTW, is it me or Lexus is just not selling that many of them?

You are correct! The sales have definitely cooled down since last October. I was on the fence bet the IS350 and 330i until I drove them back to back then the decision way real easy.
The dealer told me as of 4-5-06 they are selling them about $1500 over invoice which up to that point was unheard of.

Styling is OK but it'll wear off as the model gets 1-2 years old.

E90 is absolutely timeless!

i dont think it looks outdated yet but it never really looked that good to me in the first place. i went to an auto show this past winter and after just sitting in one i knew that this was not the car for me. i didnt even test drive one before i bought my current e90. i've heard that the handling and steering are not good at all.

lol...you will be wrong here- the handling and steering are top notch. It's for people who don't want the all out sport of the 3 series, but want something a little more comfortable.

Why we ended up with an E90 was because we were considering a 325, which meant comapring to the IS250. IS350 on the other hand would have blown the 325 out of the water and it is one of the best cars with an automatic i've ever driven.

Aside from being similar sized 4 door sedans, those cars don't look anything alike.

I totally agree with you dude, are you from Toronto area? Those IS's are already everywhere, and they do look dated and boring already. I can't believe i ever considered one. Its the Chinese that have made it boring...once they get hold of a car for me its the kiss of death, they totally ruin it. First of all they buy so many of them they are everywhere, secondly the customize them in suc a tacky, lame way it wrecks whatever allure the car may have once had.

That's not to say they dont kill bmw's too because the E46 was a turn off to mee for the same reason. I've already seen a lot od E90's on the road and yes the Chinese have got hold of them too, jsut go to any BMW dealer in the Toronto area and look who's shopping... but not too bad yet. Dated? I didn't think so, but now you mention it was very conservative move by Lexus. I guess they didn't want to mess with their cash cow.

Side-by-side the E90 looks very modern. If nothing else, Bangle's controversial styling really did differentiate BMWs from everything else out there.

I saw my first two IS's this week, in silver and black.

To be honest, I thought they looked pretty hot.

I didn't get a look at the inside of either.

I just saw a Graphite IS350 yesterday. GAWD, that thing was sexy.
We were both staring at each other at the light. we both knew we were competitions.
