They have the plate and they can't find the guy?

I would think that with the damage, they'll track the car down pretty quick. They should be circulating that flyer to every BMW dealer and body shop in LA county.

No way! I would NOT give the guy credit - as in credit for “at least he didn’t kill two people...”. When M5 guy mowed down the pedestrian it is not as if he made a nuanced correction at the last minute in a conscious decision to only maim and not kill the pedestrian. Just saying. I too hope the guy that was hit recovers - flipped over a hood and impacting the windshield is a fair bit of musculoskeletal trauma at a minimum.
