Excellent! Well done. You're welcome! Dang it

Hehehe... we need the details, dude—Dragy pic; road conditions; gas; DA; map 6 setup... spill the beans.

// EDIT: found ya —> nice run especially considering the 60ft. I think it speaks to what these cars can do on a surface without ramps on it. Please post some of the other details I called out above, though.

// EDIT2: I just saw your 0-60. Errr, it sucked! My point being, if you can run that ET with a meh 60ft and an even more meh 0-60, imagine what she'll do when she hooks properly!! Wow!

yea streets were cold i was spinning. i think that run could have been a 10.2X if i hooked.

6lbs, up to 6.5, safety raised to 28, 93 with boostane.

Agreed.

Did you log and have Terry review them? +6.5 psi relative is really high; I don't think I've ever tried beyond 6... even with octane booster. What does boostane claim target octane wise—1 oz per gallon raises 2 full points?

Do you plan to add any other mods like down pipes and exhaust? I've been thinking about a JB4 but find the car in stock form(I do have the Eventuri CAI and Remus at the moment) plenty fast.

No, I switch out the cars too quickly so I keep my mechanical mods to a minimum.

I'd love to see someone push the envelope down this path but I also worry it's beginning to look a bit too simple and normal—these targets are getting way up there.

limeypride Hi limey, still getting my jb4 dialed in. I posted some logs in the N54 forums if you don't mind looking at it.

When you do your runs are you w/dsc off or 4wd w/mdm?

The only way I've found to get my best numbers is with launch control. Given that, your question is moot since LC only works with DSC off. Try various suspension settings since it changes how the car behaves from rest.

You need to nail a solid 60ft (mid 1.60s is solid, sub 1.6 is what you're after) to carry that advantage into the 1/4 mile. Your resulting 0-60mph should be mid 2.7s and lower with a JB4.

I see. So it’s still 4wd but without traction control right? I still found myself spinning when I was stock with 4wd and traction control off. Scared me actually cause I was like wait it’s supposed to be awd.

On your daily drive are you 4wd sport mdm?

What tires are you running and at what pressure?

I daily drive with full traction control; sport+ engine and brakes, comfort everywhere else and manual shift.

Thanks for the info. I'm like at 33psi all around MP4s. Great tire compared to the MPSS on my stage 2 F10 M5.

My M1 is all sport and 4wd sport. My M2 is sport+, sport sport 4wd sport. I tried dsc off yesterday and it felt like I was lifting off lol.

Howzit Limey!

I keep reading this thread every month or so thinking about the JB4. Especially since you have 92 like we do here. As far as boosters I'm limited to what's available at O'Rileys so not sure if experimenting with those is worth it. Do you feel map 6 at plus 5 would be a safe enough place for me to start for my 2020 comp? I get that map 1 is the safest most basic one, but that is effectively the sameish as RC to me so not sure I see value in that. If I were to do JB4 it would be for it's map 6 capability and data logging. Also like it's meth controller function though I would only use that for water. Similar to the M4 GTS.

Basically it's prohibitively expensive and time consuming to boat in any type of fuel here. There are no more 'speed' shops that readily stock such expensive extravagance anymore. 92 or bust in Hawaii.

You guys with 92 octane limeypride or 91 (cali) Vic55 don't you have access to race fuel?

When I lived in Cali I used to use half race fuel and half the shitty 91

I sure do but I dont really care... and its off the beaten path to acquire.

The car is plenty fast on 91 with the piggy. I just do simple BPU's:

Lower
Exhaust
Tune/Piggy

I know 91 sucks but since I dont know better... I dont know better

The closest race gas to me is 60 miles north. Shipping and keeping the stuff myself at home is a non-starter—absurdly expensive (and quite risky with my nosy kids).

Octane booster works for the most part.

+5 might be fine but I've never run that high an incremental target without at least some BOOSTane Pro. You can it from Amazon by the way.

Understood. Thanks for the reply. I'll have to check out Amazon then. It's probably on the list of items they won't ship to Hawaii, but it's definitely worth the look.

Edit: Yep cannot ship over here. Sadness...

Besides the high cost of living yep, no high quality fuel. There is one 100 octane gas station here, but it's on the other side of the island and they want 12 bucks a gallon for it. Plus who knows how old it is. Not worth it to me.

Yet...
