Continuation of music playing after exiting M5C
Has anyone noticed that on some occasions the music will continue playing after the vehicle has been shut off AND continue to play after you've opened the door to exit? So today after noticing this "feature" happening over and over, I've realized that it only happens if the car detects that the passenger seatbelt is still connected (buckled in). I usually travel with my dog in the passenger seat and I purchased a harness that goes into the seatbelt buckle to keep him secure. On a few occasions, I've opened my door to blaring music for the general public to hear, which I find annoying.
Now for the question... How do I turn that off?? Is there a setting in Bimmercode for this? I've been looking all around and can't find any information on to adjust this. |

I believe this can be set in the "Vehicle settings" under "My vehicle". Under "doors/key" there's a setting "turn off after door opening"
See below:

Same problem, I made the changes in iDrive. There have been previous threads about this but no solution. My lease is up in six months so I've given up on looking for a solution

Yes, it's in iDrive, but I noticed it would still stay on sometimes. I found it was due to me opening the door at the same time as shutting off the engine. So I try to stay in the habit of waiting half a beat after I shut of the engine before I open the door.

Ha! I thought it was just me and not knowing how to operate the doors or something...
It is annoying, and probably wouldn't bother me as much if I knew how long it takes for the car to finally turn off. I feel like it could drain the battery... |

Happens on mine too. I went to pump gas one day, turned off the car, opened the door too soon. Car was playing the tail end of "every breath you take" on medium volume. I start pumping gas wondering what will play next on my playlist. "Straight Out Of Compton" Embarrasing. Lol!

From my experience this has to do with a combination of the source, connection type as well as gear ignition and seat belt. Granted, Im not sure the exact combination that causes this I can tell you that its likely to happen to you a few times. Its just one of those random glitches that happens. Just like randomly your seat wont go back to normal even after you put your seat belt on.

On my M550 at least, it has to do with whether you turn the car off with the brake pedal engaged or not. Try that. Depress the brake pedal, and turn off. And then test turning it off without the brake pedal depressed.
