BMW Performance Exhaust on a 328i.. thoughts?
Hey guys,
I got my first car.. an e92 328i a few weeks ago, and I find it to be a little quiet, but still fun to drive. I have been looking into the BMW performance exhaust as something to do in the future, but what do you guys think of it? The 328i obviously only pushes about 220 HP, and I do not want people to think that I'm trying to rice out my car and make it sound faster than it actually is. Do you guys think a performance exhaust doesn't belong on a 328i? |

I've been running one for more than a year and i like it. Keep it under 3k and it's very tame, push it past 4k however and it just screams. With a cat delete + intake it'll be a symphony

That sounds, mind if I ask how much you paid for the exhaust and install ? and where you also purchased it

I purchased the exhaust from Steve Thomas BMW(bmwpartspros.com)in Simi Valley for 907.59,I saved 50$ on shipping and picked it up myself, paid an Indy shop 110 to install. At night with windows down the exhaust sounds great but during hot day it's alright.

Was just about to ask the same, I'm on the verge of placing the order for my 328i sedan. From the videos I've seen, it makes the car sound much more aggressive as opposed to the stock exhaust.

I wish the mods would clarify on exactly why they did this, so they/we don't have to be bothered with it in the future. Instead of just trimming the threads.

Really happy with my PE as well. The sound opened up a bit more with aFE pipes too.

I've had mine on for a month. A more peppy performance, and the sound is more of what we expect for a sporty car. Do it and you will be happy with it.

Is there actually a noticeable difference in terms of driving with the PE exhaust? if so, could you elaborate?
