However, as a road trip warrior, you have a different use case than I do… your $8,500 may indeed go further with CCBs to limit dust build up on your epic trips! |

People also buy emotionally and defend logically. That's where Reducing to the Ridiculous comes in handy. Example: CCBs are $8,500 - or about $3,500 if residualizing with a lease. 100 bucks a month over 3 years. Only $3 a day. Gee, that doesn't seem too bad. How many people pay $4 for a cup of coffee? Or, shit, $15 for a glass of wine? I had a client finally realize that if he stopped buying Starbucks coffee and invested that money in Starbucks stock, he'd be rich. Yes - eventually. I'm going with the Reduction to the Ridiculous route next time. 1) I wash my car every week. I don't have the time to take it to a detailer and I don't want to depend on one coming to my house. And it would likely cost more than $21/week. 2) It's not just the time and effort to clean the wheels. It's also how crappy they look (especially my black 705 set) as they get dirty all week. 3) As you said, I drive. A lot. I have over 43,000 miles on 2 F90s in the last 30 months - not even close to a full 3 year lease time frame. And, 4) They are gold. Just something about them on a dark car. But would also look great on Donington. As you know, Dony just never looks dirty, even when it is. So, there it is. Dony and CCBs and you have a car that never looks like it needs a wash. There. Totally justified. And on my next car. Might even be an M8, since they come in Donnington, too. Just gotta figure out how to justify an M8. Oh, yeah….you only live once, blah, blah, blah. Now, if I can only figure out how to get a killer lakeside driveway like yours............ Last edited by snowbimmer; 01-11-2022 at 11:06 AM.. |

Exceedingly difficult to make aftermarket wheels not look terrible (especially in 21" or larger) on these cars but this guy's done it with these HRE S104SCs. Superb. Well done sir.

BBS FI-Rs in 21 with custom Porsche white gold finish. Suspension is KW v4 coilovers. Just trying to show that 21s can work on the car and contribute to the wheel discussion. For more pics just go here: https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1849712 |

They look good! These wheels remind me of the old M166 on the E60. Best M5 wheels ever!
