Bavsound Revenant
I just completed the install on an F31 BMW with HiFI
I ordered the Revenant and Stage 1. The install process seemed a lot easier than what was mentioned regarding the Match7 as I did not need to manipulate "tuner" files. The amp comes preloaded with DSP settings for the car. Either HiFI or Stage 1. I will say, I've tried Revenant with just the HiFI, however, I HIGHLY recommend just springing for the speakers as well. The mids and highs have distinct clarity not found in the stock HiFI. Overall the install is easy. The AMP install takes a few minutes, however manipulating the amp in the small enclosure in the F31 was a pain. You'll see when removing it. Overall I am very impressed with the sound system. I test drove a 2019 HK 440i, and this one sounds better. The system is significantly better that the HiFI option. It is worth the 1300 I paid for the whole system. (Stage 1 and AMP) I've just got 5 or 6 hours of use, so it might not be fully broken in yet. It is not an extremely loud system that you've heard in high school, where it would cause pain and you wouldn't care You can have the car at medium volume and still hear all the high's/lows and enjoy music. When it's louder you can really have fun, but it will not be extremely loud and bass punchy. I've heard the B&O in my friends M6 Gran Coupe and its nearly on par with that system IMO. If you like thump and resonance with the bass, its missing it does not have that resonance that you would get from a sub in a box. I am older, and I'd rather not have that thumping in my neighborhood. I may eventually get the ghost subs to get a bit more bass. Overall, it was rewarding to take apart the car, and install the system. Before the install I would never dream of ripping apart the doors, but once you get done with one, its super easy. |

Thanks for sharing.
Pardon my cynicism, though, as this seems like a shill (considering your total of 4 posts, 2 being this same post).

Thanks for the review. I haven’t had time to install mine yet and I’m leaving for vacation soon so I will get to it when I get back. I have the F33 so I’m sure it’s going to be cramped when I take the trunk apart.

I installed mine a couple of years ago. I think they were an improvement but I don't play real loud so probably don't derive the full benefit. Charlie

Check out this box
https://www.ebay.com/i/113681683380?chn=ps Looks like you wouldn't lose a significant room. If I went this route I might have an audio installer do the tuning after the install to make sure it sounds right. |
