Yeah...California is the worst I've experienced. Driving from LA to Santa Barbara the fastest lane by far is always the right lane. People avoid it like he plague and camp out in the left lane. Worst highway drivers ever.

Had it once, F06 650GC, only lasted me 6 months. Couldn't enjoy the car in LA or 2-3 hours radius from LA.

I am surprised and flabbergasted that no one is talking about the other white vehicle in front of the M5 that was faster even around 300?!!

Very impressive. I WISH WISH WISH we have roads like Autobahn in states, even some section of expressways.
BTW the car in front of M5 from 5:00 minutes and upward: wow, he/she able to stay ahead of M5. He/she must be flying

Nice video! Gotta love proper lane decorum - if I'm doing a high speed run, I am petrified that some slow lane bandit will wander out into the passing lane without shoulder checking. In the video, he just pounds by slower traffic without hesitation. Love it.
Little pucker moment at 6:05-ish, when they both had to brake very hard, from 300 kph! Amazing braking. That would be a little disconcerting, as would be the bumpy section at around 3:00.

Driven on the Autobahn and Autostrada, absolutely fantastic, unfortunately I was in a 520i rental that maxd out at 120mph. I was doing that on an Autostrada when a Ferrari blew by, felt I was standing still. Unfortunately now they have speedcams on the Autostrada.
Couldn't agree more with the comments on US drivers especially on the coasts. Midwest is somewhat better. |

Uusally I dont read all the comments, but I scrolled down as I was sure everyone would comment on that. Was surprised they didn't. Maybe its an everyday thing doing close to 200mph on the Autobahn or maybe it's a bit of "Wise guy, huh!" bravado. Could it have been an F10 M5?

I know this is Germany and drivers there are much more educated and aware, but it still seems scary and reckless to be flying by other motorists at those speeds.

My experience in Germany is that people let you by in general, unless you come across a German fellow who “knows” it’s his right to stay ahead of you and not let you pass no matter how close you get. In these situations you’re better off slowing down so you don’t get into a sticky situations. Germans, when they absolutely are convinced they must stay ahead, are as stubborn as any American. It was a bit frustrating to tell the truth. I didn’t have much time to max her out, and this type of behavior cut into my fun time. Oh well, c’est la vie, first world problems... YMMV.
