M5 accessories/upgrades ideas

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey guys,

BMW USA gave me a $1,500 M & BMW accessories voucher as a "sorry it took 2 months to get your steering rack" gift. Sadly, the online shop.BMWUSA.com site lists effectively nothing and I'm struggling for ideas of what to spend it on.

I initially figured I'd go for the CF skirts/lip/etc. but my car is Singapore Gray and they'd basically disappear (in addition, I'm lowering it and the lip would become a real problem I suspect).

I can't buy 3rd-party stuff either since it's a 'voucher', not cash.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

It looks like you have an M5 Comp, too--do you really think it's worth it? The M-Sport exhaust on our cars is great and that's me coming from multiple prior cars all equipped with Akras.

I'm also loathed to throw my own cash at these sort of mods since 1) it's a lease and 2) I usually sell the lease 18-months in.

Given it's a short term lease yes I wouldn't do this either.

Another option is a BMW driving class.

LOL--given my driving record with M5s, that's probably a great idea.

That said, I was looking more at ceramic controls or CF interior trim.

I would love ceramic controls as I miss my old ones, but the switchover is surprisingly expensive. Maybe CF interior although the dark aluminum structure has really grown on me.

Driving class still looking pretty appealing.

Yeah I agree, I have SG and have the CF front lip, side skirts, and rear diffuser and they definitely disappear...

Will do, going in on Monday to get M Perf exhaust and a few cosmetic pieces (black front/side grill and rear badge) - will get her washed and then post

Another point on the cf side skirts - they accumulate dirt really easy and require constant cleaning, but give the side a really nice look - worth it imo and I think will look great with the mpe

Use the money toward your next set of tires.

Mmmm, that's an idea assuming they're in-scope of the voucher. Thanks.
