I have seen photos and vids of the strip above the headlights in blue. How would I configure my car to display the blue light.

You are talking about laser lights and they are not available in the USA.

They were available, just don't think anyone else aside from me actually ordered them because dealers don't want to go through the process and then it can add 7-12 weeks to build time to get the car ordered with them.

What is the process? I wonder why adding this light would add such a significant delay.

The light may or may not add a significant delay, it's just an individual option and as such has to be special ordered since it's not part of bmws normal offering in our market. The slip you have to sign just has a general warning that individual requests can add 7-12 weeks to build time whether it actually happens or not I can't tell you since my 2022 was a rush order after bmw crashed it at the port and they literally had a new car for me a month later (I skipped the line lol) and my 2023 took 11 months to deliver due to the individual interior.

That being said it's a request that your dealer has to put in, then it does take a fee weeks at least for them to hear back from bmw whether it's approved or not then if you want to go forward with it it locks the car and no additional changes can be made to the build once accepted.

As mentioned, the electric blue trim at the top of the LCI headlights is EU/CA only. However, I have seen a few Canada cars which have been sold to U.S. buyers that have them.

Front diff service isn't part of break in service anymore so I just pay for it out of pocket, on my 2022 at one dealer it was 235 after tax so I just said f it it's whatever... I do all service at dealership until warranty is over then do it myself at my shop so bmw doesn't have an excuse if something breaks. Went to another dealership because my go to guy doesn't work there anymore and needed stuff done before mpact tomorrow and they quoted me 1k... I asked for breakdown 2.5 hrs of labor at 250$ and 3 bottles of oil at 89 a piece... (1.5 liters which I believe is wrong unless they changed the front diff since I last looked up the amount needed)

Here's what it looks like, the blue doesn't light up but there's like an eyebrow between the blue and black that light shines through

This thread wins the most useless thread title. Lol.

On a more serious note, about 5 seconds of search might have answered your question. Come on, man.

Those are easy to replace, just pop off and on. I'm more bummed I didn't realize I could have lower door panels, seat control surrounds, a/b pillar and lower door mounding trims and the sides of the dash in leather until it was too late... #wishmycarwasdelayed

This looks fabulous. But damn those options alone you can get a used F90 for.

Yeah, you could, and arguably it would make more sense financially. But thats not why I buy a car. I buy a car because I like it and want it done my way. One if the reasons I don't buy used cars among many others. Personally if i can't spec the car out to the moon and buy it, then I can't afford the car and there's no point in pretending I can (buying it used years later in a config I'm settling for). It's one reason why I got an m5 over something else like a dbs or even a 911. I'd be able to buy two of these m5s for the price of the 911 and 4 of them for the price of the dbs and I'm not in that financial position. I don't want to settle for a car thats "ok" just to be like ooo look at me I have a 911. I want the car done my way, 100% and that's gonna make the price skyrocket. It's like how you can get an m5 for 103k (back before price hikes) or you can get mine for 185k it just depends if you just want an m5 for the sake of having it or whether you want it to be YOUR m5.
