Returned from a trip away of 18 days to find the battery completely dead. Any suggestions as to why this might have happened? Lights weren't left on! Couldnt access the boot so had to jump start it. Is this a known problem? What model of CTEK charger does anyone think is ok for F90? Thanks

I don’t know if I’d describe it as a known problem, but I think it’s definitely a known thing. Anytime I have gone away for more than a half a week or so, I always come to a batter management notification in iDrive. None of my other cars have ever had this problem for comparable periods of time, and for even longer times.

I was gone for less than ten days just a couple of weeks ago, and also returned to the same notification. I think that if I had been gone a few more days, along the lines of your trip, I’d come back to a completely dead battery.
