M5 F90 Sports suspension retrofit kit

Hello,
I just got info about the "sports suspension retrofit" has anybody install it yet?

Here's pdf:
https://www.parts.bmwgroup.com/infod..._014_02_18.pdf

it costs like 1500$ brutto after discount and I wonder if it differs much from KW coilover

Ahhhh the M Performance HAS for the F90--- looks like another option vs the KW. Nice.

More info here as well:

M Performance is 15mm lowering, and KW is up to 30 mm per this website:

i had the M-Perf HAS on m4 and didn't care for it. seems to me that lowering springs are a cheaper option for same performance. am i wrong?

If you can live with the static drop of lowering spring, then it would be the cheaper option.

For me, I adjust it to my own liking. So static drop is not an option.
If KW HAS or H&R VTF available, I would jump on it before full on coilover.

I have found, after 9 sets of KW HAS or its private label (for Lambo and Ferrari) that once I lowered it and set it at the shop; I never adjusted it again. My initial set up at the shop was always where I kept it. To me the benefit of KW was the spring rates and progressive set up.

If 15mm is the max lowering on the BMW piece, thats just not enough (6/10ths of an inch).

Any thoughts on the H&R's on your car after having them some time? Have they settled any lower?

I ended going the KW HAS route so that I can have some adjustability. Waiting on the wheels to install.

I like the way the Mode Carbon M5 sits on the KW; just about the right amount of drop IMO and I like the adjustability factor as well.

Ill be honest, the whole "settle" thing is a bit overrated. Maybe it went down 1/10th of an inch but to the naked eye its the same. But with that being said the drop is kinda ok with me. I mean there are days when I back out in a car that sits lower and the M5 is in the next garage space; it looks low and fine. But when Im standing the gap is more prevalent... its all in the optics I guess.

From a function standpoint they are just fine and I feel like there is a little less "bounce" than the OEM's. Im normally like a lower car so thats why it was just dissapointing. I think I might just keep them but my local tech offered me a sweet deal for 600 bucks to install M550i springs (includes all the parts) so maybe ill do it. Maybe.

The wheel boutique car sits on them and its pretty good.
