I just got a windows laptop with Ethernet port and got it to work with femto. Now if u don't mind sharing what dongle u used and that will save the hassle of the shitty laptop. Thanks

Is there any way to reset flash counter. I'm just trying to see if my car has never been updated flash counter should be 0. Now if I flash the tcu and put stock back if there is way to reset the counter when going in for service.

Can't you just use your cell phone w bm3 app and download the tune from them? It's not expensive, super high quality, safe and amazing.

So my initial thoughts are that initial acceleration is more aggressive in 1st through 3rd gear. I haven't been able do a launch as temps been in 40s last couple of days. Can't tell much high end but Low end there is a difference.

Two questions:
1. Had you previously noticed a loss of torque shifting from 4th to 5th that the TCU tune has rectified?

2. Do you know if this TCU tune works on the later M5s/M8s?

I will Probably do dragy sometime late this week and update. So far butt dyno says it quicker but 0-60
Is worse but I haven't done proper runs. Will update this weekend with 0-60, 1/4 and 60-130. Thx

At launch I did feel some hesitation in 4th and 5th gear. Now that could be loss of torque, or not enough fuel supply due to e30 mix. My goal is to do run dragy numbers side by side with and without tcu tune and share with every one.

Now about newer cars I wouldnt know. I know this works fine with 2018-2019 with older zf 8 speed. Email evolve they will let u know.

I didn't pay close enough attention: I didn't realize it was an Evolve TCU tune. I've already spoken with Imran and no joy. That was some time back but he said he'd ping me once the later ZF software was cracked. Bummer.

But enjoy and keep us all apprised!

So after few days of use I have come to this conclusion which might be weird but I donno it is what it is. 0-60 acceleration to butt dyno feels faster but dragy doesn't lie.

My best 0-60 before tune was 2.68 at worst DA n Temp
My best 0-60 after tune is 2.78 but mostly in 2.9s in better DA n temp.

My 1/4 before was 10.36
Now 10.4 in better DA n Temp

I feel there could be 2 reasons for this:

#1 the actual shift from 1st to 2nd gear takes longer or not as crisp as other shifts. Also my 1st gear torque stay under 400 but 2-8 I'm 720 plus.

#2 traction could be the only cause as tires are at 60% right now ( 4S 305-35-20)

I contacted Evolve n they stated have ecu tuner update tune based on tcu tune. Ecu tuner says they have nothing to update as they don't mess with tcu tune. Evolve wouldn't share what parameters need to be changed which I can share with ecu tuner.

So I'm kind of stuck in the middle now. Probably sometime this week I'll go to stock tcu file and run dragy and do same runs with evolve tcu file.

Or #3 bad fuel? Or not as high octane? Thanks for the review 🙏🏾

Can you take a video of the launch where I can hear the sound made during shifts?
