Future Classic makes both the 12mm and 5mm spacers, found them on IND.

This is the exact set up I would choose, but I wondered about the 5mm spacers, as they are not hub centric. Did you seek any advice on these, or at just 5mm is the non hub centric issue simply not anything to worry about?

Car looks great!

I was concerned before getting them as well, but they fit perfectly around the hub and as far as I know they’re hubcentric... they fit the same way the 12mm spacers did up front.

Future Classic really went above and beyond with their spacer design.

Pretty certain they are not hub centric, being too small (I think 10 or 12mm is minimum for HC) however, I expect there is enough room on the hub for them to make an issue.

Thanks @wintendo I'm looking forward to mine arriving.

I'll be interested to see what you think once you put them on. They fit around the center hub ring, which is what I thought was considered hub centric. I could always be wrong though, so lets see... Either way, you'll love the way it turns out

I understand the FC and all 5mm spacers are too thin to have a wheel hub mounting lip (unlike the 12mm +) which is apparently the hub centric element, but as I said previously, the amount of space they take up is minimal.

I asked on another thread, but didn't receive a response from the supplier.

Nice! Who makes the 5mm rear spacers?
I have been using Benz spacer for 5mm.
They are also hub centric. Just doesn't have the hub lip extension since it is only 5mm.

The stock hub lip is thick enough to accomodate 5mm spacer.

Huge thanks for the clarity!

I have found there is certain confusion surrounding the term 'hub centric' to us non-technical owners, but the actual difference with sub 10mm (I think) is the lack of a lip extension, but as you advise, the stock lip can certainly carry an extra 5mm.

Yes, 5mm will clear.
Because the hub lip is 10mm tall.
Ideally 3mm is the safer number, because BMW wheel's backpad have champering at about 2-3mm.

So with 5mm spacer, your wheel is only sits on the hub at about 2-3mm.

But you're happy the 2-3mm is safe to use, or would you recommend 3mm, or in fact no spacer at all?

Sorry to bombard you, but it's a case of the stance versus safety for me.

3mm is available specific for BMW.

So it is safer than 5mm.

The more sitting surface that you have, the better.

Do any spacer kits come with wheel locks? If not, what are folks doing?

When ordering the extended bolts, just ask for a set of lockers. All the suppliers do them.

question

Very late to the thread

I'm looking to purchase future classic wheel spacers from IND and i drive a non-competition f90 M5. i don't plan on lowering the car. Does anyone know if 15mm front 12 mm rear is solid or should i just do 12mm front and rear? Just curious if 15 might be too much in the front or if any rubbing could happen even though I wont be lowered
