M550i Suspension install issues.

So I had the H&R m550i springs installed on my 19'M5 after reading many positive reviews. My installer had told me the driver side rear was throwing a error. He cleared the codes and we drove it no issues. 2 days later I got a error saying "Chasis Function limited" and the car no longer lets me select my suspension setting. So I wanted to ask if anyone has had a similar issue with install or if I ordered the wrong springs. My springs are model H&R 28721-2. Thanks in advance.

This is just a guess, but I doubt it's your spring choice. More than likely it's the electrical connection from a rear shock absorber. Either it got pinched on install, or the connection is loose. Easy to check if the wires have been routed properly. Could be front also, but much less likely.

Your installer either forgot to plug in the connector for the shock, or broke the wire going to the shock. Has nothing to do with the springs and h&r

He definitely connected it as he dropped the shock to check it was all set most likely it broke like you said. And yes I didn't think it was H&R just wanted to check my springs were in fact the correct ones.

Yeah it's definitely the rear the code was for rear driver side. We'll definitely have to check the connection I'm assuming something was broken in the process.
