Best springs for my DD
I would love to do M550 springs. But do know if that's really the best practical spring for a daily or my drive way. Is there anything between the H&R M5 and M550 springs? Dont want adjustables. Dose any one have good pics with H&R M5 Springs?
Thank you |

Ive done both- the F90 specific springs are more compliant due to lesser adjustments which create less compression and rebound. Where I live, the roads are brilliant and I wanted more form in relation to a bigger drop so I changed the F90's after about a year with them on (M550is). The compression and rebound is different but not drastic based on where I live but its noticeable on extreme high speed undulation bumps. Is it worth it for me, hell yes but not for others. I too have 4 other cars that are technically lower but I love the look of a fender over tire vs a gap so I went that way.
Here are pics of my car with both drops: F90 H&R M5 Springs: M550i Springs:

I have the 550 springs (installed a couple weeks ago) on my M5C and am very happy. I find the ride very compliant and similar to OEM in many respects. I personally don't see much visual difference in drop between the H&R F90 springs versus the OEM springs (at least on the M5C).

Sure as long as your wheels run the same effective offsets that I do and you do a "plus size" tire set up.
The Plus Size tire set up is where you add more diameter wheelwise and reduce tire sidewall diameter to create an equal or almost equal total diameter (tire sidewall plus wheel). There are few here that have the 21 inch set up and the M550is.
