Tyre life

I am finding the rears are wearing very quickly. I have done 4000 miles and they are now illegal. Anyone else finding the same ? It's annoying as in my RS6 they all wore out at exactly the same rate. I am guessing the M5s rear wheel drive bias is causing them to wear quicker at the rear?

12,000 on my Pilot Sport 4's and still loads of tread left. I drive hard and primarily on country roads here in the UK.

I'd be checking the rear alignment...excessive rear toe in will wear tyres at an alarming rate.

Not a bad shout - I'll put the p4s on and if they wear quick I'll get it checked

are you doing doughnuts in the local supermarket car park?!

I only have a 540i so only half the power but mine are about 7.5mm with 15000 miles on. so really depends on how you are driving it - it sounds like you are enjoying yourself with this!

I guess the price of owning an M car.

Ha, yeah TBH I only really do shortish trips so don't really get a lot of time in the car, so when I am in it I try and make the most of it!
