Do you notice any drop in performance while braking for daily driving? (Not concerned about tracking)

Would be super interested in getting these as well if it seems good!

Pedal feel and stopping feel very close to OEM IMO and certainly more than enough for "spirited" street driving. I don't track my car so not concerned in that regard.

Stopping power seems OK to me.
They still squeak occasionally.
The brake dust is reduced.

The sensor notches on the brake pads are not in the same spot as the OEM pads. The SA at my local BMW dealership walked me to the car as the tech explained the brake pad sensors could not be installed. I took pictures and sent them to Girard at ACG. He said he was aware of this issue in the early stages of product development and thought it had been resolved.

Apparently there is some disagreement about whether or not the sensors can still be installed despite the obvious manufacturing flaw but at a glance it's obvious that the notches are not in the same place and I have no idea how this is possible in a product that ostensibly went through R&D...

Despite numerous follow-ups on my part (no pun intended) this has still not been resolved. Right now I am running the pads with the sensors tied up.

I have not been impressed with the customer service at ACG and while I have been very patient in an effort to see this properly resolved I am quickly reaching the point where I'm going to dispute the purchase through AMEX.

Maybe others can find out how their mechanic got the rears properly installed?

I agree with this: Still see dust, a little better, I still hear noises, maybe I need more miles for the pads to break in.My installer modified the pads to accommodate the wear sensor.

Girard stated that he had tried to follow up with my SA without success.
I'm going to follow up with her tomorrow and see what's up.

I agree with this: Stopping power is slightly reduced, how could it be the same with a softer material, Still see dust, maybe because"bed in" is necessary, I still hear noises, So far I am not that impressed but that could change with a few more miles, I need to be sure Brake dust is greatly reduced to be completely satisfied. My installer modified the pads to accommodate the wear sensor.
Modifying brake pads is not something that a dealership will typically do as it opens up liability if the pads fail for any reason.

Nor, in my opinion, should brake pads made specifically for this car need to be modified by a technician in order to install properly.

Thank you for sharing that detail though.

Sorry to hear you guys are not happy with the pads and have had issues. My experience has not been bad and I'm happy with the pads. I've now had them on for about 2 months with no issues to speak of. I've not had noise and dust has been greatly reduced which were my primary objectives.

I'm going to inquire with the installer regarding the rear installation; they called initally to say they was an issue but called back and said it was resolved. TBH, I never thought about it again until I read some of these posts.

The pads are ok, I think I need more time to evaluate them, I was expecting no Dust but maybe that was unrealistic.

I find them a lot better than OEM regarding dust ... some dust but super light, at least that has been my experience.

Ok Porterfield makes the pads for ACG so you can buy from either place right now (R4-S)

The rear pads prototype defect is being corrected according to Porterfield

I remember when I first called to inquire about the pads ACG mentioned the first sets produced needed to be corrected and were being further tested. A couple of weeks later I received a call informing me the pads had been corrected and further tested. Maybe there was still a batch of the original pads that were sold; solely speculation on my part as my pads have been fine.

Perfect. My rears have not been (successfully) installed yet. I will attempt to return.
