Wheel spacers for the competition

Hey,

Any one with a competition model done wheel spacer yet? I see threads for the non-comp, but I'm not sure the spacer would be the same.

Thanks!

I was originally planning 10mm-12mm spacers on the rear like I had on my F10, but after taking delivery of the car I'm not sure it's necessary. (side bar - I was not planning spacers on the fronts because they were rumored to possibly be a contributing factor to the infamous "ticking hub" issue on the F10s). To my eye it looks like BMW did a pretty good job filling out the rear wheel wells on the F90 Competition.

Agreed. I think the rear looks good, but the fronts need to be pushed out just a bit.

I agree, but I dealt with the ticking hubs on my 2013 F10 and it drove me crazy. I took the spacers off and had the dealership replace the front hubs and the ticking was cured. I'm really nervous about putting front spacers on again and creating the same problem!

FWIW, my 13' F10 M5 had the ticking hubs but my 15' F10 M5 never had any issue with spacers. I've already ordered wheels for my M5 Comp so I'm not even going to bother with spacers.

I'm not a fan of spacers as it dampens steering feel which is already somewhat numb on these cars.

Yeah, I only had the ticking hubs issue on my 2013. My 2016 had no issues - but I also never put spacers on it. Could have been an early production issue.
