TPMS Malfunction

I've had the car for two days and it gave me a TPMS malfunction message yesterday. Did anyone else have this issue?

Not sure why but it happened to me 3 times, even dough pressure was fine.
Just reset and it will disappear.

I had similar issue. System was setup on 19" tires. Car has 20". Changed and went away.

My 2 weeks old M5 just gave me the TPMs Malfunction msg this afternoon. I went to dealer's service centre straightaway and had someone reseted it for me but it popped up again one my way back. I tried to set the tyre type from Special model to 20" but the msg won't go away. Have you got the problem solved?

I was having this issue for the first 1000 miles service. Had correct tire settings, sometimes would reach 46%, sometimes 89% and would report malfunction when resetting - then sometimes in the mornings it would completely reset but would malfunction again later in the day.

I thought I would deal with it at the 1200 service which I did last Friday. They couldn't find anything wrong but at the same time it hasn't done it for 200+ miles now. Really strange. This is with 20" Pirellis.

The TPMs reseted itself on my way to the service centre this morning and malfunction didn't appear after about one hour drive so I have to turn back. I think I am in the same situation as yours now. Hopefully, it just happens during the break in stage? My one with 20" Michelin pilot.
