I like the Carbon Fiber roof because there is no chance of someone's Corona Virus spit flying in and entering my body.

LOL... you should see the nutcrackers in the M3 section that get all worked up when someone has an F8X with a sunroof (I did LOLOLOL).

Vic, please don't talk about things 'entering your body'--you know where shoei will take this... ewww, now I grossed myself out with the imagery.

And, FWIW, I apparently "did the right thing" with my M8 which doesn't have a sunroof--just a cool 'carbon core' and the badging to prove it (none of which was by fecking choice)... hehehe.

The CFRP roof did help get the car to weigh less than the F10 despite the MXDrive.

Different strokes for different folks, but it does look awesome.

LOL, you seem to be the only one "pissed off" about it.....so much so that you came back several days after the post to say something (even though you don't care).

Opening the sunroof to hear the exhaust? No, that's probably the active sound you hear.

Wait...you mean the CF roof actually has some purpose on a performance car? Who would have thought!?

I actually heard BMWFS is not accepting any lease applications until the middle of April. Not sure whether that is true.

Jeez, Douche--WTF are you even talking about now; you're all over the place. Your comment was pretentious at best; conceited, arrogant, opinionated and inconsiderate at worst. You try to be funny--you're not. You try to garner support--you get none. You try to rebuke--you fail from language incompetence.

Apologize as you should and it'll all go away... or continue cowering behind the verbal diarrhea of metaphorical-Mummy's legs.

Make another point... or don't. But your first deserves this response and this entire disagreement is about that (reminder below). I have a CF roof now--ya fuckin' moron--but what does having one/not having one have to do with the judgmental bullshit you spewed out below (nothing is the answer, it's rhetorical--look it up, you'll learn something--your simplistic takeaway is it means no need to reply).

Loathe ya, dude!

I do like the gully in the roof, no doubt (this pic has the pre-bedazzled grille and is, hence, inferior ):

... but I'd have taken a sunroof in exchange (alongside the massage seats I grew to love from my apparently woefully under-spec'd M5s).

Didn't know massage seats are not an option for the M8GC - well, you get even more weight savings

True enough. And she definitely needs it.

However, while the seats are inferior in articulation and massage, they're not in overall comfort. I drove ~2,000 miles back in them and no back or neck problems arose. That said, I do miss the massage and upper-articulation of the seat-back since it allowed me to focus the heat a little better. I believe I heard it was because of the cabin width, i.e. the M5 seats are wider to accommodate the additional tech. and simply didn't fit--a shame.

I must say....I don't know many 40 or 50 year olds who use the word douche. I think it's pretty common knowledge now that people who use that word (douche) are normally douches themselves.

Also, what do I need to garner support for exactly? If you actually read the replies on this thread (which I doubt you did as you just like to post and hear yourself talk), you will see like 80% of the people who replied on here said there is no way they would delete the CF roof for a sunroof.....so......yeah.

I'm not going to sit here and hijack this thread any longer because you have hurt feelings like a teenage girl yet you are probably like 50 years old. If you have an issue you want to take up, feel free to PM me like an adult (or don't, I could care less) instead of your incessant posting on a thread. I see why you have such a high post count now.

Neither! M's gotta have carbon roofs and the sound system is terrible for the cost, I was amazingly underwhelmed when I got mine.

I love my B&W but agree with you on the CF roof. It just looks better imo.

2.(SINGAPORE GREY) Car is $119,800 this how I would order the car except it has a sunroof l really wanted the carbon fiber roof. New $4,600 down $1299 a month. Was thinking I could wrap the roof either carbonfiber or gloss black? Never seen it done.

Perfect car but most expensive. Shipping charge.
3.(WHITE) CAR IS $124,300 everything I want but it's in Virginia. I would have to pay for shipping $1,000 to $1,500 on top of $6,000 down $1,295 a month.

I don't know what to do!!!!
What would you pick and why if you dont mind telling me.

Thank you.
It's something for the long term, rather pay abit more to get something you really want. Do not compromise and regret later

It’s obviously all down to personal preference, I didn’t have a sunroof as you all know it’s get rid of that beautiful carbon roof and obviously ads a little more weight. Go for option 3, sod it it’s a beautiful car. Option 1 sounds like they are taking the p**s when the manager is driving it around and no doubt thrashing it plus no discount!!!
