It did look to me he was enjoying more the Jag.

And he was spot on on highlighting the less stellar parts of the M5, not very engaging, muted, numb steering. Very effective killer performance though, you don't even feel it 😀

I am afraid I would prefer the Project 8 too, but for the money you can't beat the M5.

why does this guy and everyone else that gripes about those things expect BMW to somehow have solved how to take a luxury car and meld it with the craziest sports/track car out there and allowing either of the personalities to be at 100 percent all the time?

if you want pure sports car, get one of those. whining about steering feel and "I can't hear the engine inside the car" is old already.

how many people out there will come anywhere close to exceeding the capabilities of any modern car these days? these people are acting like they are Ken block and the car is holding them back! heh

Of course I'm a bit biased, but did any other owners feel like he let some of his minor subjective complaints, overshadow what I think most of us would agree is a well rounded, highly regarded automobile? Is our steering wheel too fat, or the infotainment sub-standard, or are you having trouble adjusting the driving dynamics? Are owners unhappy with the performance of their CCB's? As far as steering feel is concerned, I think all makers are struggling to perfect it, although Porsche seems on the right track.

I just felt like if I didn't own the car and know better, that his review would have not been a fair representation of the car I've now lived with for two years.

That project 8 is killer. Loved everything about it when I first saw it on the grand tour a few years back. Did think their price point was a bit absurd. It is still a jag lol.
