It seems that both our cars entered production early. Mine was supposed to be week 8 but entered production early last week.

Typically whenever they tell you the production week it's when the car ends production so it goes in about 1-2 weeks before that, but we'll see, hopefully the delays on my interior aren't gonna be too bad.

Update - she's just been dispatched from the factory!

It flew through all the milestones in between. Similar experience when I ordered by X5 but this seems much faster.

No surprises - They’re doing a whole custom interior for you - would be cool if they could let you tour the factory and see it come together!

You used to be able to do factory tours at dingolfing, they were a pain in the ass to actually get approved and stuff but you could pay your way into getting one, not anymore sadly

Also custom interior happens somewhere else, not at the main factory, my car has to be built then basically shipped off somewhere else to do the interior.

This is just from the factory to Port (Germany) which is relatively quick. Now you will wait on a carrier assignment.

I may or may not be scheduled soon, depending on when my car gets through vpc, but I'll let you know if I get my date
