Pure Turbos
Anyone running the pure turbos yet? Looking to pull the trigger but wanted to know if it’s worth the price? All I see is videos of the black one with 740whp.. which isn’t too impressive IMO. Does anyone else have this setup with better dyno numbers?

the black one referenced is a DME stage 3.
agreed, not impressive if the piggybacks are churning out 680+ i think its a matter of developing supporting mods still (ie. add'l fuel)

Jb4 map 5 or 7 with high octane gas gives you 715 whp and wtq.
Eurocharged tune gives about 750whp. So pure turbos better give over 800 to be impressive. I know on f10 M5, pure turbos do around 830whp. |

I've bought EuroCharged ECU tunes twice and I'm a believer of both the tunes and of Jerry himself. However, Jerry's numbers come from a Dynojet making it an apples to oranges comparison. I don't know if they're all-wheel or rear-wheel either which would presumably impact the result. I'm not making any specific point here other than citing what I've experienced first-hand and any other perhaps relevant tidbits. |

Eurocharged in Canada has all wheel dyno, dynojet and yes those figures are from all wheel dyno.
As far as pure turbos go, it would have been a lot better and easier sell if they turned it up all the way to show what it actually can do, than lower it to whatever numbers customer feels comfortable with. |

There's something to take away from same day, same dyno, same fuel... but Mustang vs Dynojet, different day, etc. renders any pure numbers comparison moot in my opinion. Finally, I have no doubt an ECU tune will ultimately return the best performance gains. However, if that's important to you, determining which one to go for on the numbers alone posted by the vendor isn't gonna reveal the truth, they're at best an indication of its ballpark. If we assume two stock F90s are roughly comparable then obtaining each vendor's all-wheel gains relative to their stock pull on any dyno is likely the most realistic indication beyond sticking 'em side-by-side on a dragstrip. |

I think we need to be more clear on these numbers (crank vs whp) etc.
My close friend has an FBO F10 and I can tell you it's not pushing anywhere above 800hp (crank). With that said, 740 for this platform is very comfortable and safe in my opinion, especially given that it's just bolt on stuff not engine. This engine is not much different than the previous F10 platform with the exception of the drive train and couple other minor changes but the core stays the same. People will push the limits and go beyond them just to claim some numbers, but what's the point of that really? Which F10 or F90 do you know that's broken a record and lasting ever since? My point is that, you gotta find a happy place with these engines. That black car @740hp is build by Kevin @labworkx and DME tuned. Those guys are the best in the world in my opinion at building and tuning engines that hold world records and last. Don't believe a number that you see out there once and never hear about the car again. Do what your goals are with your car and keep in mind that there is always someone out there who's going to be faster than us, so why push the rods to the limit. Have a great week all 🍻 |

I know the owner of the car personally, these are at wheel numbers. Tune, intakes, meth, catless down pipes, pure turbos, sap clutch and Some work on transmission. |

OP, do turbo's and tell the tuner to turn it all the way up and post a dyno sheet. The interwebs will marvel at it, then your motor will blow a few months later.
OP, do not do this. |

this platform is definitely lagging- from the tuners, to the users...even e85 mixtures haven't even been dialed in yet. BMS is working around e20 right now- perhaps there is potential for more (on the comp models?). I believe fuel trims on the f10 were putting down happy results for e30's
still early in the game I guess |

dumb question on my end but... why isn't "mod for additional fuel" as simple as bigger injectors + maybe more powerful high pressure / low pressure fuel pumps? |

I've called pure turbos myself last week. poking around asking some questions. They told me they have only sold 2 or 3 900 series platform turbos for the f90, also when i asked who should tune the car after I bought the turbos they were scattered and flustered all over the place with no real answer.
Doesnt really seem like they know whats going on. They have a product, which is the easiest part of the puzzle; Better turbos. But nothing else. No clear path of how to optimize them within the car. Too early to buy turbo upgrades. If it wasnt too early, trust me I would have had them a month ago. Your just gonna end up being someones guinea pig. Ya they'll figure it out, after taking a bunch of risks with your car, and even then will it make power....? Sure it will... Will it be fully optimized.. no. |
