Feedback on HRE Flow Form wheels

Seeking some info for our M8C here since not many have started to mod their cars.

The stock wheels are forged but are quite heavy and a PITA to clean.
So I was planning to just keep our Sottozeros snows on them and get new wheels for the summers.

I can pre-order HRE FF11 wheels for the M8 and they recommend 21" wheels (21x10 ET20, 21x11 ET29) for a good look.
I will lower the car a bit but so far there are zero spring options for the M8.

The HRE's are still lighter than the BMW forged wheels.

Good move? Any experiences on the M5?
Anyone recommend a different brand?

Want to stay light on the concave and like an open wheel that's easy to clean. Weight should be below the stock wheel.

My lesser informed response... I have had 16 sets of HRE wheels but there were all custom offset builds with unique colors etc.

FF's are not forged but still quite light for the options. I would check to make sure they can handle the load bearing of the M8CE but Im sure they can. I have considered more recently a set for another of my cars but passed because cause the offsets are fixed not hyper aggressive.

We run the same offsets on the F90 and your M8 and wheel sizes:

20x9.5 et 28
20x10.5 et 28

I space my OEM's out with 15F/12R which makes the effective offset 13F/16R
On the proposed wheels above your widths bump up half an inch on both which gains about 6mm per front and rear in offset. So the front on the FF would have comparable ET of 14 with my 9.5 and an ET 23 on the rear compared to my 10.5. The front will look spot on against the fender and rear might need a spacer if you dont like the tucked look.

I think the FF's are a good balance between price, weight, and quicker build times. You should be closer to 26-28 lbs on those 21's vs the boat anchor 20's which are in the 30's.

Thanks, great info as usual!

I like a more aggressive stance and will use spacers as needed but am stuck as that will likely look out of place if the car sits too tall.

Just got off the phone with MSS for adjustable springs; not dice for the next 18 months and no answer from KW so far. H&R and Eibach have nothing either

I think Ben at r33_RGSport is dropping an M8 GC soon but not sure what he is using.

I do feel the CE cars have a slightly better drop than the non CE's (the 10mm do help).
